On June 10 at 1931 hours, just as T-11 was finishing up a nice, heavy dinner of meatloaf and beef rice, units with the Fourth Battalion Fire Chief were alerted to respond to 9th and Delafield Pl for multiple reports of smoke in the area.  En route the address was updated to 908 Delafield Pl.  Engine 24 went on scene with smoke showing from side A and a heavy collumn of smoke apparent from the rear of a two story, middle of the row occupancy.  Firefighters found heavy fire on the second floor in a converted room on the rear porch.  T-11 responded as the first due truck, throwing ground ladders, venting horizontally and vertically, performing search and rescue, and salvage and overhaul.  Firefighters were able to get a quick knock on the fire with an aggressive attack, and the fire was contained to the initial fire building with no extension to the cockloft.  T-11 cleared at 2230.
